Steven has always loved building and and creating. Electronics and electrical, painting, drawing, sculpture, woodwork and metalwork. Evan as a child he found himself pulling apart broken things to see how they worked – and whether he repair them.
At 17, he was working at a service station during the day and enrolled in electronics courses during the evening. After 5 months of electronics training, his mother, receptionist for a manufacturing jeweller, mentioned that a traineeship was becoming available at her place of employment. He applied and got the job. That was thirty-five years ago.
In that time Steven has worked at five other jewellery workshops. However, upon gaining employment with Christopher Green, he felt he’d finally found somewhere he could settle in. Chris and Andrea have now become family, and blessed him with the opportunity to continue doing what he absolutely loves doing – hopefully until retirement.
